Description

Balsamic Chicken is a simple yet flavorful dish featuring juicy chicken breasts cooked in a tangy-sweet balsamic glaze. It’s a quick and healthy dinner option that pairs beautifully with vegetables, salad, or pasta.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1️⃣ Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning if using.

2️⃣ In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4️⃣ Stir in balsamic vinegar, honey, and broth. Bring to a simmer and reduce for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.

5️⃣ Return chicken to the pan and coat with the glaze. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes.

 

6️⃣ Serve with a spoonful of glaze over top and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

  • For added richness, stir in a pat of butter at the end of cooking.

  • Serve over mashed potatoes, pasta, or a bed of greens.

 

  • Add cherry tomatoes or spinach to the pan for a veggie boost.
