Description
This Cranberry Brie Tart is a show-stopping appetizer or holiday snack, featuring creamy melted brie, tangy cranberry sauce, and flaky puff pastry. It’s easy to assemble and delivers a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and buttery goodness.
Ingredients
-
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
-
6 oz Brie cheese, sliced (rind removed if preferred)
-
½ cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
-
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
-
Optional: chopped fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped pecans, or honey drizzle
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Prepare the pastry: Roll out the puff pastry slightly on a floured surface. Transfer to the baking sheet and score a 1-inch border around the edges (do not cut all the way through). Prick the inside lightly with a fork.
3️⃣ Assemble the tart: Layer brie slices evenly within the inner rectangle. Spoon cranberry sauce over the top and spread gently. Sprinkle herbs or nuts if using.
4️⃣ Brush and bake: Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
5️⃣ Cool and serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with honey if desired and serve warm.
