  • Author: Monica
  • Total Time: 2 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

For the fruit base:

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen fruit (berries, mango, or mixed fruit)

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)

  • 2 tbsp water

For the gel:

  • 3 tbsp gelatin powder (unflavored)

  • 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the fruit puree: In a blender, combine the fruit, honey (if using), and 2 tablespoons of water. Blend until smooth.

2️⃣ Bloom the gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 1/4 cup cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to soften.

3️⃣ Heat the fruit mixture: Pour the fruit puree into a small saucepan and warm it over low heat until hot but not boiling.

4️⃣ Add gelatin: Stir the bloomed gelatin into the warm fruit puree until completely dissolved.

5️⃣ Pour into molds: Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a lined shallow pan.

6️⃣ Chill and set: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set and firm.

7️⃣ Remove and store: Pop the fruit snacks out of the molds or cut into bite-sized pieces if set in a pan. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • You can customize these fruit snacks with any fruit you like! Use fresh or frozen.

  • For vegan-friendly, substitute gelatin with agar-agar (check package for instructions).
