Vampire Fudge Recipe: An Amazing Ultimate Delight

  • Author: Chef Ethan Sam
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

– 2 cups granulated sugar
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup butter
– 1 cup chocolate chips (semisweet or dark)
– Red gel food coloring
– Black gel food coloring

Instructions

Creating this Vampire Fudge is as enjoyable as it is delicious! Follow these simple steps for best results:

1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
2. Combine Sugar and Cream: In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and heavy cream. Stir over medium heat until the mixture begins to simmer.
3. Add Cocoa and Salt: Gradually add the cocoa powder and salt, whisking constantly until smooth and fully combined.
4. Incorporate Butter: Add the butter and continue stirring until melted and completely integrated.
5. Boil the Mixture: Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil. Keep stirring and let it boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
6. Remove from Heat: Once the time is up, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla extract until smooth.
7. Divide the Mixture: Quickly divide the mixture into two separate bowls.
8. Color the Fudge: In one bowl, add several drops of red gel food coloring until the desired shade is achieved. In the second bowl, add the black gel food coloring to create a deep dark hue.
9. Layer the Colors: Pour the red fudge into the prepared dish, spreading evenly. Next, pour the black fudge over it, allowing it to gently swirl together for a marbled effect.
10. Cool: Let the fudge cool at room temperature for about 1 hour, then transfer it to the refrigerator for 1 additional hour until completely set.
11. Cut and Serve: Once chilled and firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the overhang and cut it into squares for serving.
